Congressional Caucus Formed to Protect the Delaware River

By Margaret Allen
An additional avenue for protection and support of the Delaware River Watershed was formed last week with the Congressional Delaware River Watershed Caucus. Co-sponsored by Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania and Antonio Delgado in New York, the bipartisan caucus will focus on federal funding and conservation needs of the watershed. The Delaware River Basin is an essential resource environmentally as well as economically, generating an average of $25 billion in commerce each year.
