Further Loosening of Masking Requirements for Fully Vaccinated Pennsylvanians

By Sam Miller
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has again updated the mask mandate for fully vaccinated residents. The previous update in March allowed for fully vaccinated Pennsylvanians to go maskless indoors with others, and not have to quarantine after experiencing symptoms. This latest update is more broad and again follows CDC recommendations. These individuals are now also advised that they do not need to wear masks in low-crowd outdoor settings, they can resume domestic travel without needing to get tested, and international travel if the destination doesn’t require a test before entering. Fully vaccinated people also do not need to quarantine following a known exposure if they are asymptomatic, and can refrain from routine testing is asymptomatic. Currently 8.1 million doses have been administered in PA, 3.2 million residents being fully vaccinated.
