Greater Honesdale Partnership Releases Downtown Revitalization Plan

By Sam Miller
The Greater Honesdale Partnership has released their Downtown Revitalization plan. The stated goals of the plan include improving downtown living, parking, and appearance while maintaining Honesdaleā€™s small town feel. The plan covers the area from Park Street to 4th Street and was created with input from experts and hundreds of community members. The plan began in April of last year. Some of the recommendations in the plan include improving the appearance of Main and Church Streets, building trails and parks for river access from downtown, and revamping the Park & Shop Lot near the Fred Miller Pavilion. The plan also includes a timetable for these proposed actions.
