Hawley Man Sentenced for DUI with Child in Vehicle

A Hawley man has been sentenced in Pike County Court to state prison for DUI and endangering a child. 35 year old Patrick Falvey will spend the next 9 months to five years behind bars for an incident in Hawley. Troopers responded to Hemlock Farms Road and Surrey Drive where Falvey had driven through security tape and traffic cones that had been set up on the road. Troopers smelled alcohol on Falvey’s breath and he admitted to having consumed an alcoholic beverage before driving. A minor child was in the passenger seat at the time. Falvey failed a field sobriety test and his BAC was found to be .144%. In addition to the prison time, he was fined $2,800 and had his license suspended for 18 months.
