Hawley Woman Sentenced for Crashing into Fire Truck

A Hawley woman has been sentenced in Pike County Court for an incident where she drove into a firetruck. 29 year old Jacqueline Hourigan will spend 1 to 12 months in Jail for the 2019 incident. In September of that year, Hourigan was driving down Route 590 in Lackawaxen Township during the evening without her vehicle’s headlights on. She subsequently crashed into a firetruck in the opposite lane, which had seven people on it. In addition to the jail time, she was fined nearly $2,500.
