A Honesdale man was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. According to a press release from Acting Wayne County Sheriff Chris Rosler, 47 year old Earl Faatz Jr. was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court. On April 9th officers received word that Faatz’s vehicle was spotted at the Honesdale Wal-Mart. Officers from the Sheriff’s Office and the Wayne County Correctional Facility went to apprehend Faatz. Faatz reportedly heard of the officers’ presence and allegedly attempted to flee out of the rear entrance of the store.
