A large donation of clothing for those in need will benefit the residents of Wayne County. Wayne County System of Care recently gave 500 pairs of socks to the Grace Episcopal Church for their weekly food and clothing distribution. Grace Episocopal holds regular charity events and some of their most needed items are hats, gloves, and socks. County Intergrated Services Coordinator Dave Hartung and County Commissioner Jocelyn Cramer learned of the need and contacted sock manufacturer Bombas to get the donated socks through the company’s own charity program. Sue Erb of Grace Episcopal Church said distributions are held three Saturdays a month at Grace Episcopal, once a month at St. John’s Lutheran Church and, when there’s a fifth Saturday, at Central United Methodist Church, all in Honesdale.
