A Hawley man with warrants in three states was arrested over the weekend. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 40 year old Paris Goodwin was contacted by troopers responding to reports of a disabled vehicle on Route 590 in Lackawaxen Township on Saturday afternoon. The man in the vehicle claimed his name was Paris Amadi Ali Bey, which Troopers later learned was an alias, and presented a “sovereign citizen” identification. A search in the National Crime Information Center revealed Goodwin was wanted in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Texas. Goodwin allegedly resisted arrest and refused to comply with being fingerprinted. Charges of Resisting Arrest and False Identification to Law Enforcement are pending.
