A new, publicly available resource in Wayne County can help victims of trauma find the help they need thanks to a joint effort by Wayne County System of Care and the Wayne/Pike Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative. A curated list of trauma informed care resources is now at the Wayne County Public Library in Honesdale. The titles were selected by SOC trainers and Wayne County Behavioral Program Director John Nebzydosky. The titles range from books appropriate for children to those more geared toward and helpful to adults. SOC Family Tri-Chair Faith Philips said that SOC wanted to extend their philosophy of trauma informed care to the wider public. The NSPI provided the funding for this project.
