Two Deaths in Pike County Under Investigation

A pair of unrelated deaths in Pike County are under investigation.

A Dingmans Ferry man is dead of a suspected overdose. According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Blooming Grove, troopers were called to Center Road in Delaware Township at 3:20am on Saturday for a male overdosing. Troopers attempted first aid on 22 year old Kristian Venery until Delaware Township EMS arrived on scene. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Venery passed away. An investigation into the death is ongoing.

In other news, a Philadelphia man was found dead in Lackawaxen Township. Troopers were summoned to Pine Forest Road at 9am on Sunday where 35 year old Lee Black was found dead. No foul play is suspected and the cause of death is under investigation.
